These folks may or may not be writers of books, but they are supportive of the Guild and what it stands for. Thanks for your ongoing willingness to help us grow and move forward!

Dan Webster – movie reviewer on public radio: https://www.spokanepublicradio.org/show/movie-reviews – and you may run into him just about anywhere good things are posted!
Auntie’s Bookstore is supportive of all of the Guild’s events and has a number of local authors’ books on the shelves – both by traditionally published writers and those who have gone the self-published route. You can check out all things Auntie’s via the website at: https://www.auntiesbooks.com/. We “indies” need to support each other!
There are some fine writers groups/organizations in the Eastern Washington and North Idaho region. The Sandpoint Writers might be just the thing you need if you’re looking for an active writing group. https://sandpointwriters.com/

Sandpoint Writers On the Lake often meets at the local library in Sandpoint, Idaho

Spokane Authors (Formerly SASP – Spokane Authors and Self Publishers) has been around for longer than the Guild. If you’d like to meet in-person, you might drop in at one of their meetings to see if this is a good fit. http://www.spokaneauthors.org/.
The Palouse Writers Guild is no longer available for activities.

Spokane Fiction Writers is a group focused on writers of fiction, offering support, advice and community. Check it out! (as of 2025, not sure this group is still active) https://spokanefictionwriters.com/
