Stephen LaLonde, local author, to present his memoir at Local Authors Book Group

On July 3rd, Stephen (Steve) LaLonde will visit with local authors and readers to present his memoir – “…to teach” which released this Spring. He will talk about his writing career and what led him to write a memoir about his many years as a successful instructor, respected and loved by students and other teachers as well. His book is garnering numerous positive reviews including mentions of his unique teaching style and creative efforts to engage students in a way to help them prepare for “real life” in the world.

The event is held at 2 pm on July 3rd, as part of a long-running series spotlighting local authors in the Local Authors Book Club. It is a zoom event. Non-regulars may request the event link from Linda at auntiesbooks@gmail.com. Come add your voice to the conversation with Steve and be prepared to ask questions. See you there!

Featured Author of the Week Chosen by INWG

INWG has chosen the new “Featured Author of the Week” – Joan M. Kop is a long-time member and supporter of the Guild, a memoirist and autobiographical writer, as well as a poet.

Joan has been a contributing member of the Guild for many years, and our meetings have benefitted greatly from her timely and thoughtful input. She is another writer who has reminded us that we can support each other in our work and still try to outsell everyone else. Joan is a poet, wrote a book about her ancestor – The Freedom Chaser – and is about to re-release her memoir – Spies, Lies & Psychosis. Joan also shares her thoughts with readers through her newsletter.

Visit her website here for more information, and keep an eye out for further news of her book release.
